Jeff Weidenaar is the Executive Marketing Manager for Mathematics at Pearson Higher Education. His publishing career dates back to the late 1980s, when he left middle school teaching to take an editing job during the summer "just to pay the bills." Since then, he has developed and marketed a variety of math, science, and technology products for middle school, high school, and higher education at leading companies such as Pearson and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He has served as a publisher liaison with National Middle School Association for 7 years and is a member of the Massachusetts STEM Summit Planning Committee. In his free time, he founded a MATHCOUNTS team at a local middle school and has served as the team’s coach for the past 4 years. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where he received his certification to teach Mathematics and English in grades 6-12.
